MULTI-PURPOSE CORE-SHELL SORBENT ON THE BASE OF HIMIC ACIDS

A mechanochemical technology for obtaining a complex sorbent has been developed, which makes it possible to effectively deal with a wide range of contaminants. The method for producing the sorbent is that a mixture of lignocellulosic silica particles is mixed with humic acids obtained from brown coal and subjected to mechanical treatment with specially selected reagents.

Innovation of the technology consists in using mechanochemical reactions to modify the structure of humic acids and their solid-phase application to carrier particles (lignocellulose, silica).

The resulting product can be used both in powder form, and in the form of granules, briquettes, be applied to the working elements of filters. The patent of the Russian Federation is received.

Schematic diagram of mechanochemical technology:
Advantages of technology:
  • Simplicity (low number of operations) of technology and low production costs.
  • Presence of a number of know-how that protects the technology from unauthorized reproduction by third parties.
  • Possibility to use waste from the coal industry (brown coal).
  • The technology is environmentally friendly. The technology does not generate wastewater and solid waste products.
  • The technology can be implemented in small enterprises.

Application area: sorbent is used to remove heavy metal ions from solutions, to purify waste water from industries and reservoirs.

Technical level: semi-industrial technology with a capacity of up to 1 ton / hour.

Technical characteristics: Sorption capacity for heavy metals is not less than 300 mg/g, efficiency at concentrations of heavy metals from 0.001 mg / l, working pH from 6 to 9.

Level of technology readiness: prototypes obtained and tested on real reservoirs

Practical application: the sorbent was tested in the conditions of the Ob Sea (Novosibirsk).
