FEED MEAL FROM RICE HUSK AND GREEN TEA FOR AGRICULTURAL AND UNPRODUCTIVE ANIMALS AND THE METHOD OF OBTAINING IT

Mechanochemical technology of the silica husbandry fodder additive was developed. The additive produced from rice husk and tea wastes. The active substance of the preparation is biologically active chelate complexes of silicon with polyphenols (antioxidants), formed at the stage of mechanochemical treatment. This fodder additive can be used to balance the fodder with respect to silicon, and calcium, as the prophylactics of oxidative stress.

Activator mills involved in the technological process are the flow roller centrifugal mills with controlled intensity of action and the productivity 50-70 kg/h. These mills were developed at the ISSCM SB RAS.

Schematic diagram of the technology:
Advantages of the fogger additive:
  • integrated action: the additive promotes activation of immunity and has the antibacterial effect, provides normalization of lipid and mineral exchange, prophylactics of oxidative stress, growth and development of bone and cartilaginous tissues of animals,
  • stability during storage,
  • low prime cost.
Advantages of technology:
  • small number of stages,
  • absence of solvents and any other liquid phases within the production process,
  • absence of side waste products.
Application areas:
Cattle breeding (abatement of osteoporosis, viral and bacterial diseases of agricultural and domestic animals).
Level of practical implementation:
The fodder additive passed tests in the Russian Academy of Agricultural Sciences and in real production.
