OXYGEN-PERMEABLE MEMBRANES FOR DEEP PROCESSING NATURAL GAS INTO VALUABLE PRODUCTS

The new nanostructured oxygen-permeable membrane materials have been developed.

The characteristics of materials:
  • increased thermochemical stability;
  • high electronic conductivity (~ 100 Cm/сm) in oxidizing and reducing environments;
  • oxygen conductivity (~ 10-1 Cm/сm) at T ≥ 800 oC;
  • coefficient of thermal expansion (16-20)·10-6 K-1
Nanostructured oxides with the structure of perovskite
AREAS OF USE:
  1. Gas chemistry -conversion of natural gas into synthesis gas (CO + 2H2).
  2. Power engineering
    • cathodes for solid oxide fuel cells;
    • efficient combustion of fuel
